Film in the 1920's
The Hollywood film industry exploded in size and popularity. During the Twenties, film production moved more toward feature films with sound rather than short or "two reeler" films usually without sound. In 1926, Warner Brothers introduced the vibraphone system which synchronized the recorded sound with the film. The "Jazz Singer" is the first synchronized dialogue and singing in a feature film.
